San Jose, CA -- March 4, 2008
In a feeding frenzy, normally it's the sharks that get the meal. But at the City Team Service Center in San Jose, California, the San Jose Sharks were the ones giving out the food.
Lift Up America, Tyson Foods, and the San Jose Sharks (NHL) again teamed together to fight hunger in the south Bay Area. More than 25,000 pounds of chicken were distributed to over 20 local charitable agencies who, in turn, will share it with those most in need in their communities.
Special guests included
Greg Jamison, President and CEO of the San Jose Sharks, Dan Rusanowsky, the "voice" of the Sharks, S.J. Sharkie, the Sharks' mascot, and several Sharks players.
